Based on a seinen 4-koma manga by Sanri Youko serialised in Weekly Young Jump. The story revolves around a sexually inexperienced schoolgirl who dreams about her 100 sexual fantasies. One day, she falls in love with a plain-looking boy and tries to date with him.

Especially gratuitous fanservice shows tend to show their characters frequently without any clothes, though often hiding genitals through the means of additions like steam. Original Work: Manga Manga is the lifeblood that drives the anime industry. Everything and its mother is based on manga. However! There are exceptions where the manga was not the basis for the anime.
It`s common practice to make manga adaptations of many popular anime, there`s a manga based on Evangelion, and two (one shounen and one shoujo) based on each of Escaflowne and Mahou Tsukai Tai. Also it`s quite common to release manga and anime versions of a story in parallel, for instance Nadesico and Shoujo Kakumei Utena. There are also cases where an anime continues in a manga, or reverse, as in the case of Angel Beats! and Angel Beats: Heaven`s Door. Pantsu "Panties" in Japanese. Also often seen are impossible situations, using sounds to illustrate impossible stunts that aren`t shown on-screen and to create tension for audience anticipation. Stereotypes Then there is the question of the character set presentation. Is it completely original, or is it your usual stereotypical character cast. Both choices have their merit, for example it would not really make much sense to reinvent the wheel for a harem anime. Fans of that genre come to expect their favourite stereotype protagonists. Sudden Girlfriend Appearance Sudden Girlfriend Appearance anime involve a sudden change in the main character`s life where (s)he suddenly gets confronted with an individual (s)he`s sexually attracted to, the two of them inevitable becoming a couple. Super Deformed A caricature style often seen in anime when the character shows extreme emotions, like fear, anger, happiness, surprise, or shame. Seen as cute, as part of humorous comedy. The character`s face suddenly turns into a simplified version, the body will usually also deform into that of a small child (oversized head, short limbs, extra-large tears). Time: Present Somewhere between past and future Twisted Twisted indicates more than one abrupt change in plot or story. This derivation from strict linear storytelling usually makes these anime hard to follow, and at times even very confusing when several parallel plots intertwine. Violent Retribution for Accidental Infringement A comedy / slapstick element often found in Ecchi anime: The hilarity derives from spontaneous embarrassment, overreaction of the "victim" (girl), immediate retribution for a seemingly inappropriate act, and a sense of pity with the supposed "aggressor" (boy).

Typically a boy will - through no fault of his own - stumble into a girl, thus invading her personal space. In the process the boy may e.g. pull down her skirt, grab the girl`s breasts, or accidentally kiss her. Any level-headed girl would see the accident just for what it is. Not so the girl with an overly developed sense of modesty, and a thing for violence. She - often a tsundere - will clobber the boy with excessive brutality.

More often than not the boy loses the girl later on and has to find her again. breaking the fourth wall A situation where the boundary between fictional characters and the audience is broken. This may include being over-protective, displays of jealousy involving her brother and other girls or the need to make strong sexual advances towards her brother.
Outsiders who become aware of this will usually think of the situation along the lines of “that is just wrong”. As for the obsessive sibling, she most commonly thinks her relationship with her brother is wrong and just can not resist or just plain out wants him to herself without holding back.

In some cases the brother and sister are not actually related by blood, giving the final result of the story a stronger possibility that the sister will indeed end up winning over her brother’s heart. censorship Censorship is the suppression of speech or deletion of communicative material which may be considered objectionable, harmful or sensitive, as determined by a censor. In fiction (particularly dystopian sci-fi works) often used by totalitarian regimes to control the people. childhood friend Plot device: The usually main protagonist encounters or “lives with” a friend from childhood times. By default they have a very close relationship that usually interferers with other present-day relations.

Typical scenarios: Male protagonist has been looked after by the female childhood friend ever since they were kids, representing the default “girlfriend” in a harem anime. Or the childhood friend has been away in some other city or foreign country and suddenly returns surprising the main protagonist, who had almost forgotten about this friend (as in “Sudden Girlfriend Appearance”). In the latter case, protagonist and friend may be bound by some unreasonable “childhood promise”. Christmas This anime is about Christmas or has an episode relating to Christmas. female protagonist These anime have a female protagonist. general lack of common sense Often a desired backdrop to many anime-comedy series, where most happenings are fast paced and senseless for the pure comical enjoyment of viewers.

The lacking of common sense describes a conflicting existence to which some or many people don`t share the majority`s general knowledge of all things, all possible actions and all the logical results of those actions.

In spite of a character`s intelligence (although senselessness may suggest some may be lacking average knowledge), most instances receive illogical results or the events themselves are illogical, therefore the events make just as little sense as the results to follow. grandiose displays of wealth Some of the characters in this anime come from very wealthy families. A huge estate with large mansion or castle, a flotilla of expensive cars, private jets or islands, and many servants will impress the viewer profoundly. great opening This anime contains a wonderful use of animation and/or music/vocals during the opening theme.

Usually, especially the music is quite catchy. I gotta crush on you It happens when a person develops an interest in someone that seems mysterious, smart, sexy, cute, fun, etc. Basically just someone you would like to spend more time with. Crushes are usually one sided and they happen more frequently among middle and high school students.

A person with a crush usually has a hard time expressing or conveying his/her feelings to that other person. That other person is usually clueless of the situation. Sometimes that person knows about the crush, but feels annoyed or embarrassed by it for some reason.

Having a crush on someone does not mean you are in love with that person, at least not yet. Depending on the situation crushes could develop differently (for better or worse):

1) Larger scale interactions (love).
2) Dating relationships.
3) Scary obsession or stalker type situations.
4) Disappear over time or distance. nopan At least one of the characters appears in the anime bereft of panties. perverted female character One of the female characters displays signs of perversion on various occasions. If this is not meant as a comedy element, then it will most likely be a female villain. perverted leading character The leading character of this anime shows rather perverted tendencies. These can involve many things such as: `Mooning`, stalking women, sexist remarks or indecent behaviour in public. photography At least one character (main or secondary) in the story is involved (hobby or career job) in the art, practice, or occupation of taking and printing photographs. pool episode An episode playing at the pool, mostly in school, sometimes outside of it when the cast does not have a chance for a beach episode.

Usually used for fanservice purpose as it gives the staff the opportunity to draw the characters in swimsuits and raise the DVD sales.
